STEP Academy Trust is committed to improving the life chances of all children. Where we have the capacity to make a difference we are morally bound to do so.
To develop a united partnership of excellent academies, where empowered leaders place our learners at the heart of everything and all are supported to be successful.
Underpinning all we do is a belief that every moment a child is in school must be used effectively — if time is wasted, it is lost forever and cannot be given back. Therefore we structure our systems and procedures to ensure that we use every minute of every day effectively.
We are developing an exciting curriculum that embraces the range of our pupils’ backgrounds and cultures, whilst always holding at its core the imperatives of reading, writing, speaking and listening and having confidence and a deep understanding of mathematics.
We also work with urgency to support our pupils in becoming highly effective and successful members of society by developing an environment that is underpinned with the core values that our pupils will need to achieve their full potential in life.
Hawkes Farm has a large site with a playing field, two playgrounds, a heated swimming pool and a wildlife garden. We are also fortunate to have a thriving Parent/Teacher Association called ‘Friends of Hawkes Farm’ who put on many exciting events throughout the year.
Hawkes Farm is a wonderful school with that real ‘community’ feeling, where the success of every child matters. Indeed, it is the children who make our Academy such a special place.
The website is something of a ‘window’ into our world here at Hawkes Farm and we hope you enjoy it. However nothing can match first-hand experience – so come and see us! Ring the school office on 01323 841466 to make an appointment for you to meet our Head of School, Mr. Michael Cotton, and visit the school – you can be assured of a warm welcome!
‘Academic success goes hand in hand with personal and social development’
