PARTIAL REOPENING
From Monday 23rd March, schools across the country have been closed to the majority of pupils. From Monday 1st June, we have reopened to Year 6 children, and from Monday 15th June, we reopened to Year 1 children.
Hawkes Farm Academy is also open to the children of critical workers and vulnerable children. All families of vulnerable learners have been contacted directly and the link here offers guidance on the definition of critical workers.
TIMINGS FOR THE SCHOOL DAY
We have introduced a series of carefully staggered drop off and pick up times which will allow all adults and children to socially distance. We have also allowed a ten-minute window for both drop off and pick up times so that we can ensure social distancing rules can be adhered to at all times.
Monday – Thursday
Year 1 children should arrive between 8.55am and 9.05am, and should be collected between 2.55pm and 3.05pm.
Year 6 children should arrive between 9.05am and 9.15am, and should be collected between 3.05pm and 3.15pm
Children attending childcare should arrive between 8.45am and 9.15am, and should be collected between 2.45pm and 3.15pm
Friday
Year 1 children should arrive between 8.55am and 9.05am, and should be collected between 1:10pm and 1.20pm.
Year 6 children should arrive between 9.05am and 9.15am, and should be collected between 1.20pm and 1.30pm
Children attending childcare have the same hours on a Friday; they should arrive between 8.45am and 9.15am, and should be collected between 2.45pm and 3.15pm
HOME LEARNING
Home learning tasks for children in years 2, 3, 4 and 5 are uploaded fortnightly. At Hawkes Farm Academy, we will be adding to our home learning offer for children in years 2, 3, 4 and 5 with a series of teacher-led instructional videos focusing on maths and English.
Year 1 and Year 6 home learning tasks are uploaded weekly, reflecting the tasks taking place in class. You can find the home learning tasks here.
